Registration
Freshmen and transfer students entering the University's Twin Cities campus
in fall 2002 or later must register for a minimum of 13 credits each semester.
This policy applies to new undergraduate students each successive year until
fall 2005, when it will apply to all degree-seeking undergraduate students.
New students (freshmen and transfer students) register for their first semester
during orientation, when they receive their U Card and meet with an advisor
to plan their course schedule. Continuing lower division students meet with
their advisor at least once each semester to plan their schedule and obtain
registration clearance.
Most students register online, but you may also register in person at a Student
Services Center, by mail, or by fax. Students register according to an
alphabetical rotation, which is published in the Class
Schedule.
