Summer Bridge Program 2008

Research Lab Visit Summary

The Summer Bridge program offers its participants an opportunity to have a behind-the-scenes view into research in the Institute of Technology.  Engagement in research is one of the strongest indicators of retention to graduation for underrepresented students.  The Summer Bridge experience will include seminars on the nature of research and luncheons in small groups with faculty members to discuss informally their research and teaching. To bring these informal discussions and formal seminars to life, small teams of students will visit different laboratories each week to observe the research projects across the spectrum of the Institute of Technology.
