Transferring credit

Transferred coursework from other colleges and universities may fulfill some University of Minnesota degree requirements, including liberal education requirements and IT course requirements.

To simplify the transfer process, the University of Minnesota, Minnesota state universities, and Minnesota community and technical colleges developed the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC). If you complete the MnTC at a participating school and then transfer to the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, you will have completed the lower division portion of the University's liberal education requirements (except for the writing-intensive courses).

Transfer plans

Transfer plans list the technical courses that IT recommends students complete before applying for transfer.
