Mission and vision
The Career Center for Science and Engineering will encourage and facilitate student exploration of career options, preparation for career success, and connection between students, mentors and employers.
Collegiate affiliations
Beginning September 1, 2005, the College of Biological Sciences and the Institute of Technology began a collaboration leading to the integration of career services between the two colleges at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. This collaborative office, the Career Center for Science and Engineering, allows career services to increase its operational effectiveness by combining the expertise, dedication, commitment, and creativity of existing programs and staff members. It allows for the encouragement of students to develop, evaluate, and implement their career plans and prepare for the world of work across technical fields. In addition, this structure shift allows for increased efficiencies, the ability to share structural and infrastructure costs, while providing high-quality career development services to all students.
